The Happy Dream Company

My initial research for this project branched from the topic of dreams. I was curious about dreams and why we had them. I also wanted to do a project that focused on helping children. Therefore, the project objective came to me naturally with the question: How can I use REM sleep to problem solve depression and anxiety in children through interactive design? I focused on a target audience of children with mental health issues between ages 2-10. The outcome consisted of The Happy Dream Company Package; a box with everything a child needs to have healthier sleeping patterns. The box contained a note pad for sketching and writing about dreams, creative clay for sculpting out dream imagery, dream meaning cards and lavender sleeping drops.
